Story plot, Props
These pictures are our time line for the film, they outline what will happen and when. This will help us plan our time when filming, so we don't spend too much time on a particular scene.
Our action/ adventure is about a superhero, the main character and hero is called Zig-Zag and Dr Fabulous is the ironically named evil genius. Zig-Zag has a loyal sidekick known only as Barnaby.
Dr Fabulous steals the chimp of power from Zig-Zag which is the source of his powers, so that he can perform evil experiments (testing new cosmetics products) on it! Dark times fall upon Sunshine city, when crime crawls back onto the streets and Zig-Zag is powerless to help the citizens....
We will be filming around the college, the majority of it outside, including using the field to get an establishing shot. Props will include two hero costumes and a villain costume, this includes a cape for the hero, pieces of paper with corresponding symbols for the chests, a newspaper and two regular chairs for hero's secret hideout.
The moral of the story is don't do make up tests on animals because it is cruel and even if you think everything is going bad, keep going and you will succeed. This is good because it links with events that are happening in real life so people can relate to it in that respect.

Practice Storyboard
Before making our own storyboard, we practiced making one from an already made film, this being 'Back To The Future'. We all had individual roles that we had to make notes on whilst watching the opening clip to the film, and these four areas to look at were Camera Movement, Mise-en-Scene, Sound and Character position. After watching the opening we then made a six slide storyboard of all the things we had just analysed and this is the result:

Initial ideas
We have chosen to use a PG- Parental Guidance.
We have chosen a PG certificate because it will give us leeway in the content that we can put in our film opening. Such as education links to certain aspects of growing up.
A PG is suitable for everyone over 8 years old, there can be discrimination in the content but for education purposes. There can be use of drugs however they must carry anti-drugs messages. If there is horror in the content it must be short and not intense, there is generally more grown up themes.
The genre of our children's film will be action/ adventure. We will be using live action in our film opening.

Our group has chosen use a U classification for our children's opening. This means that no special effects is made to cater for adults. Our target audience is for children between the age of 5 12, as the BBFC film classification believes that tastes begin to change.

hercules: a childrens film introduction analysis.
we chose the childrens film Hercules, it is a Fantasy Adventure film.
it is a feature length animated movie and is aimed at children aged 4+. In the opening sequence uses bright colors to keep the children amused during the introduce to all of the main characters. binary opposites are used between hades and zeus and because they are brothers the conflict is very hateful. The gospel singers also keep the children amused whilst they introduce the story line before the we join the movie, the singers also use some humor to keep the adults, who have taken there kids to the cinema, amused as well with the jokey line and catchy beats.

The children's film we chose is Flubber, it is a science- fiction.
We first start of by viewing the opening credits of peoples names who helped make the film, this is conventional for a movie (what we expect). The style of the credits are quite scientific and maths related, this shows that the theme of the film will be based around science matter. The soundtrack is quite happy, eccentric and bouncy which reflects the mood of the film and makes one feel assured that the film isn't going to be 'boring'. We see at first the boy delivering newspapers in a respectable looking neighbourhood, and the headline of the newspaper shows the plot line of the rest of the film. When the camera continues through the neighbourhood, it stops on a very messy looking house, full of failed looking experiments. This reflects the idea of it being based on a scientific character. When we first see the hero, it is clear he is a very eccentric person, who is absent minded on things that do not involve science (forgetting his wedding). It also shows he is more reliant on technology than the average person, to emphasise the science.
