The children's film we chose is Flubber, it is a science- fiction.
We first start of by viewing the opening credits of peoples names who helped make the film, this is conventional for a movie (what we expect). The style of the credits are quite scientific and maths related, this shows that the theme of the film will be based around science matter. The soundtrack is quite happy, eccentric and bouncy which reflects the mood of the film and makes one feel assured that the film isn't going to be 'boring'. We see at first the boy delivering newspapers in a respectable looking neighbourhood, and the headline of the newspaper shows the plot line of the rest of the film. When the camera continues through the neighbourhood, it stops on a very messy looking house, full of failed looking experiments. This reflects the idea of it being based on a scientific character. When we first see the hero, it is clear he is a very eccentric person, who is absent minded on things that do not involve science (forgetting his wedding). It also shows he is more reliant on technology than the average person, to emphasise the science.
